Our Certificate in Theological Studies (CTS) is a 30-credit program that offers you a solid, foundational introduction to Classic Reformed theology. Open to international students — whether or not you’ve completed secondary or high school — this program provides an accessible entry point for anyone interested in exploring theological studies.
As an independent program, the CTS serves both as a comprehensive introduction to theology and as a foundational qualification. It’s a great option if you’re discerning whether advanced theological studies align with your academic or vocational goals.
Courses
Our CTS curriculum includes 10 core courses covering essential areas of theology. Available internationally, you can complete the program entirely online through our distance learning platform, offering you the flexibility to study from anywhere in the world. You’ll complete 10 courses at your own pace, with support and encouragement from your dedicated e-coach throughout your studies.
Tuition
The tuition fee for each individual course within the Certificate Program is $450 per semester. For students enrolling in all five courses concurrently, a reduced combined tuition rate of $2,000 per semester is offered.
Course Structure
Each class is structured to include a 45-minute lecture session, followed by a 15-minute intermission. After the break, we hold a 45-minute interactive session where you can engage with your instructor and fellow students, applying what you’ve learned in practical, meaningful ways.
You’ll participate in our live, interactive online classes through the Brightspace learning platform, connecting with instructors and students from around the world.
Prerequisites
No academic prerequisites are necessary to apply.
Not contingent on a previously earned degree but the candidate must but able to communicate confidently in English, Spanish or Portuguese.
