Dr. Matthijs van Ittersum holds a Ph.D. in Historical Theology from Tilburg University, a Master of Educational Leadership from Marnix Academie, and a Master of Theological Studies as well as a Bachelor of Theology from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. He serves as the first President of the ERC.
