Associate of Arts in Theological Studies (AATS)

The Associate of Arts in Theological Studies (AATS) is a 60-credit-hour program designed for individuals who have completed a 12-year elementary-secondary education or its equivalent. The credits earned in this program may be applied as exemptions towards the Bachelor of Theological Studies (BATS) program. Students in the AATS program receive personalized mentorship, guided by one or two professors from the ERC, ensuring a tailored educational experience. This mentorship provides crucial academic and ministerial support, helping students succeed in their studies.

The program has been approved by the Classis of Ontario of the Reformed Church in America (RCA), making it a valuable pathway for those seeking to become commissioned pastors. It is therefore particularly beneficial for individuals already serving within the Church, as it enhances their ministerial abilities. Upon completing the program, RCA graduates will undergo an additional examination by the Classis to ensure they meet the required standards for ministry.

The AATS program includes 20 courses that cover essential areas of theology.
